Electroplating services

With many of our customers being Restoration clients, we often find them needing to restore fixings of all types to give them added protection against the elements. Although the majority of customers want Zinc plating, along with Zinc and Yellow, we can arrange other types of plating at your request.

Plating services we can offer

Zinc & Clear

Zinc & Yellow

Zinc & Yellow

Zinc plating, also known as galvanisation, is a surface coating process used to protect metal surfaces from corrosion. In this process, a thin layer of zinc is electromagnetically deposited onto the surface of the metal substrate, typically steel or iron.

After zinc plating, the parts are immersed in a chromate solution containing hexavalent chromium compounds. This chemical treatment forms a thin, iridescent yellow film on the zinc surface, known as chromate conversion coating.

Gold Plating

Zinc & Yellow

Black-oxide coating

Gold plating is a surface finishing process where a thin layer of gold is applied to a metal substrate through an electroplating or electroless plating technique. This process involves depositing gold atoms onto the surface of the substrate, creating a decorative or functional gold coating.

Black-oxide coating

Black oxide coating, also known as blackening or blackening oxide, is a chemical conversion coating applied to ferrous metals to provide corrosion resistance, enhance appearance, and improve lubricity. Unlike plating processes, black oxide coating does not involve the deposition of a separate layer onto the metal surface.

Bronze Plating

Bronze Plating

Bronze plating is a surface finishing process in which a thin layer of bronze is applied onto a metal substrate through electroplating or electroless plating techniques.

Chrome Plating

Bronze Plating

Chrome plating is a surface finishing process where a thin layer of chromium is electrochemically deposited onto a metal substrate. This process, also known as chromium plating, enhances the appearance of the substrate, providing a shiny, reflective surface with excellent corrosion resistance.

Brass Plating

Brass Plating

Brass Plating

Brass plating is a surface finishing process where a thin layer of brass is deposited onto a metal substrate through electroplating or electroless plating techniques. This process enhances the appearance of the substrate, providing a decorative brass coating with properties similar to solid brass.
